The post holder will be responsible for supervision of staff and will act as a point of contact for external research customers and organisations and will also be able to cover duties of the Deputy Unit Manager when required.

Facility Manager

On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit a Facility Manager to organise the day-to-day operation of a facility in Central London. The post holder will be expected to make a major contribution in maintaining regulatory compliance for safety and use of animals. The FM will fully understand the requirements of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 and its operation and will help ensure compliance at all times. They will liaise on a regular basis with the NVS and the Home Office Inspector as required.

The FM will also supervise the technical and animal care support staff of the Unit and will be added to the Home Office Establishment License as a ‘Named Animal Care and Welfare Officer”.
